Kinetec has been supplying continuous passive motion devices and orthopedic traction frames to the global rehabilitation market since the 1970s. Kinetec is recognized worldwide for its quality, innovation, and service.

Kinetec has been in existence for over 40 years in Charleville-Mézières, France. Originally founded by a physiotherapist, Mr. Jean-Claude Pecheux, who wanted to sell orthopedic traction frames, marketed under the name Cogemo. Following the groundbreaking research into continuous passive movement (CPM) therapy by Dr. Robert Salter in Canada in the mid-1970s, Mr. Pecheux invented the first CPM device for the knee in 1978 and initially sold it only in France. In the following years, his products began to sell internationally.

In recent years, Kinetec has expanded its product portfolio into niche orthopedic rehabilitation. In 2015, a new active therapy product line called Kinetec Kinevia™ was launched, followed by a range of thermotherapy (hot and cold treatment) devices for orthopedic rehabilitation under the Kinetec Kooler™ brand; in 2016, Kinetec undertook the global launch of the Manosplint™ thermoplastic line for hand therapists.
